Azita Ghanizada

Azita is a native of Kabul, Afghanistan. She is an Afghan American who lives in the United States. Born in Kabul Afghanistan her family fled their home country to the US and was granted the right to stay in the US as asylum seekers. Her middle sister raised her in Northern Virginia. Ghanizada started her TV career through appearances on National Commercials. In the Laura Neri film A Kiss on the Nose (2004) Ghanizada portrayed the main character of Chiara the performance of which she received an award for best actress at a film festival nomination. Her TV guest-starring performances are How I Met Your Mother Veronica Mars the Wedding Bells NuMB3RS bones Psych and Castle. Recent roles included the sci-fi action movie Blood Shot (2009) and the comedies that are independent You Only Better (2009). Ghanizada was first noticed in 2008 when she was a part of the cast for The General Hospital spin-off General Hospital.
